Dear Chapter 38

Dear Chapter 38,

I’d really appreciate it if you’d stop fighting me. I know where you’re supposed to go–please follow me in an orderly manner.

P.S. Chapter 39 is tired of waiting on you!

Awake And Worried

It’s the middle of the night. I’m awake. A nightlight casts a yellowish glow over the room. My mind can’t stop spinning.

I just got word that my niece is in the hospital. She’s only seven-years-old. I wonder if she’s scared? Is she in pain? Does she miss her favorite stuffed animal? I lie here unable to help; so I whisper prayers.

Her parents must be beside themselves. The doctors have done tests, blood work, and x-rays. They can’t figure out what’s wrong with her. I can’t imagine how her mom and dad are feeling. I wish I was there so I could hug my sister and hold her hand. I wish I could tell my niece stories and hold her hand.

This morning one test came back for strep, the other test results still haven’t come back. She will have an MRI later today. Please pray for my niece and the doctors treating her. Thank you.
